The dates for this years event will be October 2nd & 3rd 2004
Yes 2 days again this year, the event will include a campfire program Saturday night after the events and dinner are over, and an overnight for your Webelos Scouts.
The event will once again be held at the Slate Run Group Camping facility in Canal Winchester.
Costs will remain low ($8.00 per person), and the high caliber of the event will be maintained. This years event will once again be headed up by Troop 279 out of Reynoldsburg. We will also enlist the help of some other troops to expose your scouts to different troops, and different ideas. We want to provide a great, well-rounded event. Yet of course, we’d like to top our last 3 years.
So, Come on out and enjoy the fun. Look for more information to follow. The information will be avail through this page, as well as District Roundtable, and a mailing will be made sometime this summer to all registered webelo scouts.
Some of the Activities will Include: Fire Building, Camping/Packing/Gear, Plant and Tree Identification, Orienteering, Knots/Lashings, First Aid and Safety, Preparing for Boy Scouts (Scout Ranks, Oath, Law, etc), Campfire Program, Overnight and more
Contact Justin Sayre, Scoutmaster Troop 279 for more information. Send Registration to: Simon Kenton Council 1901 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio. Be sure to send names of all attendees and pack Number. Thanks.
